is it possible give propierties to a folder?

hi,
it's Marco...
I had a look to sps...but i don't undestod if is possible give the same properties in an automatic way to all the file inside a folder.
I need to give some same properties to all the files in a folder and only few differents..like autor description
does exist something that is able to fill-in these properties...otherwise i have to fill-in the same datas all the time...
