wscript.exe handles wscript.echo just fine - it will display the
parameter(s) in a message box.

.. . . indeed it does, and when you have lots of wscript.echo statements then
each of them will generate a message box, which is rarely what's required.
Still, I could and should have worded my reply more carefully.
