I copied the code you provided and ran it in my environment. I still get the access denied error. I am not sure what piece I am missing to get this to connect. Thank you for your time.

I am just going to point out a few things that may seem obvious, so
don't take offense.

The firewall aon BOTH systems must be OFF.
The user trying to connect to the remote system MUST have ADMIN
rights on the remote system.

Have you checked these items ?
