I use AutoItX and it does stuff.
However I have not seen anything about TELNET in particular.

Has anyone used AutoItX for a telnet session and captured data?
I can authenticate and pass any command I want but unable to capture data
returned.
If you're going to respond, please provide something useful and I don't care
to read from the bottom up. No language on Earth is written that way.
I just said I could authenticate. If you're not familiar with using telnet
that way, that's ok. But then your reply is not going to be much help as
I'm looking for those who ARE familiar with it.
