WMI and ADSI are not script-engine specific, let alone script-language
specific. If you have ever tried to tease out the details of some of the
more obtuse functionality to be used in a vbscript, you will realize that
not all of that stuff is targetted primarily at WSH.

Alternatives for what, processing arguments, or scripting in general? In
either case, one could decide to get on with it with what is available.
Anyway, I expect that at some point in the future, even MSH will become old
news and be relegated to legacy status.
