Re: "Run As" command in a script

Is it possible to execute the "run as" command in a script. We have the problem of applications requiring a user to have administrative priveleges. (Our users do not have local administrative rights.) If possible, we would like to create a script to run these applications as the local administrator on the computer.

Other issues brought up in the discussion are:
encrypting the password
changes to the administrative password (do really want to change numerous scripts every time the password changes)

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Hi,

Different RunAs products listed here, some free and some not, some
with encryption option for the password as well:

Other ones not mentioned in the link above:

SUperior SU (free, has a command line iterface)

LSrunas/LSrunasE (the latter with password encryption)

You may also want to check out PolicyMaker Application Security
(previously NeoExec), the main difference is that it does not require
the use of a second account, as most other RunAs derivatives requires.
