yes I did check the reported 'common hijacker' item and
then hit 'fix selected problem'. Spybot reported that it
had fixed the problem, but things are the same as they
were before.

I have just re-run S&D and it did not report finding a
hijacker - just reported 3 tracker cookies which it has
removed.
