After having installed a DSL connection with a speed
manager that shows online traffic and transmission speed,
I noticed that very often when I start Word (Office 2000)
there happens to be a data exchange both up- and
downwards.
I use a modem with integrated router to connect two PCs
to the internet. The two PCs should not be able to
communicate with each other. The phenomenon occurs even
if the other PC is off.
Is this a Trojan or something at work ? Automatic update
search is deactivated. I use NAV 2003 updated, the router
has integrated hardware firewall.
