I have the task of taking pdf file content from an Oracle blob field and (on
the fly using classic ASP) creating a file and storing it into a folder on
the server to be accessed using the browser. The reason for this is that the
user haves to wait until all the content is downloaded from the database
before it is actually displayed in the browser. I was told that there is an
active x component that can be used so that the content of a large pdf file
can be displayed immediately before the entire pdf file content is
downloaded.
Does anyone have any ideas about this or has anyone else had to do this?
Also, I just found out today that the development environment for our company
is going to be changed to a virtual server. Not sure of how this will affect
the process in question.
its making your job easier.....
after the change you will only have to download the pdf file 'virtually'
;-)
Thanks, in advance, for your input.
