Access to the specified device, path, or file is denied

Tech-Archive recommends: Speed Up your PC by fixing your registry

Hi there.

I'm running into a strange problem here. I'm running Windows 2000
server, and I get the following error when trying to run ANY .vbs
script.

"Access to the specified device, path, or file is denied"

If i just login as a simple user and create an empty file called
"test.vbs", it will give me that error. If I give myself domain
admin, I can run it without error.

I initially thought it was other problems, since I first noticed this
when my login script wasn't running. I thought the share permissions
might be messed up, or there was an error in the actual script. But
now I've learned I can't even create a file and run it on my own
server as a regular user.

Thanks for any help
