Problem is that it does not work. The application will not read the
"config_2007HIM.xml" file and defaults to the config file on the
workstation.
Not what I want it to do.
It's possible that the program only accepts config scripts from the folder
it runs from so won't accept an alternative drive/path.
Maybe you could change the script to backup the local workstation config xml
file, and replace it with the one you want from the network drive.
If, as I suspect, you're looking to control it centrally so config changes
only need to made in one place you might need to make the Users desktop
shortcut run a script on the server that checks/replaces the local config
file as necessary and then launches the program.
