What pieces of data are you interested in?
I pull down the full data file under the SSG Data option. This file
can be read as a txt file later and has much more info than the daily
stats that many sites have (some of them you found). I save the file
to a directory that I then go back into and mine the data (haven't
developed that part vary far yet). I'd be glad to work with you on
that later if your interested (may need to go off line at some point in
our communications??). For know I was just getting the TXT files
downloaded without having to stand over the web page.
Basically, you can drive a process from a list of ticker symbols that
would download each page, extract the elements of interest (say,
"Present Price"), and insert them into a database or spreadsheet.
Exactly Mc!! (BTW need a 1st name). This is essentially what I want to
do next so I don't have to manually click and save. Any help with the
subsequent code would be helpful.
Take care and thanks for your help and insight. BTW do you trade
stocks/commodities?
Dave
