Thanks for your reply.
However, not sure if you are saying that vbs just simply CANNOT do what
I want in this example and, therefore, I should use a different
scripting language. Did I interpret your view correctly?
Nevertheless, as an inexperienced scripter, I`m reluctant to move away
from vbs just as I`m starting to get used to it.
Also, I really would like to hear from somebody whether the apparent
unpredictable behaviour of the While...Wend loop in the vbs script I
described in my first post is to be expected or is the result of an
error on my part and can be overcome.
