Sit behind him and watch. Seriously. If I load a page, then keep
reading that page for an hour, nothing happens on the computer. Am I
still "on" the internet? How about if I open the page then go to
lunch without closing the browser? Now what if that page I open is
actually an active desktop that has a sports ticker, so I can track my
favorite team's score?
Way too many definitions of "on the internet" for this type of a
question to be answered, let alone solved.
Give your script a time out, then watch for page changes or requests
and start it again. Or find a different method of accomplishing your
task at hand, whatever that may be.
