It is very difficult to connect to an Access database that does not reside
on the web server. See here for more information:

Sorry, but I have zero experience with mysql. You may want to move this to
..inetserver.asp.db where it will be more on-topic. You should realize that a
mysql odbc driver is probably not installed by MDAC. Have you had the
server's admin install the appropriate software on the server?
