Hi,
Sorry, clicked the wrong button and sent this first to your email address
instead of the group. Didn't mean to "spam". Response below.

A solution depends on your AV product and whether it gives you articulate
settings. For example, IE allows security settings for different zones, and
you can set your Local Machine and/or Intranet zones to allow unrestricted
scripting, while setting Internet Zones to more restrictive protections.
Most AV software that blocks scripts seems to do so on an all-or-nothing
basis. Whether you actually need the additional AV protection is up to you.
In many cases you may not, but no one who is responsible is going to tell
you flat out over the internet not to use it, because the need for it with
regard to external exposure requires a fairly intricate determination of how
you are set up, what you're doing, what you're exposed to, what other
software protections you have installed, whether you have immediate
restoration capabilities, just how critical is delay for restoration, etc.
In any event, if you are being blocked by AV software, this is an AV
software issue, and not a scripting issue. Check your AV FAQs or NG and see
if there are articulate AV settings or recommendations regarding need
specific to your AV software.

(Again, sorry for the original misdirection. I've got to find a way to
disable that button.)
