How to make an HTA (HTML Application) appear in the recent application in the Start menu?
Hi,
I am developing an application as an HTA in JScript, and have made an
MSI installer for it an so on. It installs fine, and the app appears
in the Start menu, I can launch it from there, and it's even
registered as the handler for a certain file extension.
However, it never appears in the Recent Applications list in the front
page of the Vista Start menu, no matter how many times I run it. Other
apps, like Paint or Picasa appears in the recent list almost
immediately.
Is this because it's a script run via the mshta.exe engine, and not
a .exe in itself?
Or is there some magic I can do in the registry to make it appear
eventually in the users recent list?
I just want it to behave as any other normal application in this
regard.
