Hello, I have a user who cannot connect to SQLserver2005 through an ODBC
link. The message is: "The user is not associated with a trusted SQL server
connection. I have perused the knowledge base and checked that server
authentication is dual mode. It is. I have also checked the SQLserver log
and found that each time this user tries to log on we have: "Login failed
for user ''. The user is not associated with a trusted SQL Server
connection. [CLIENT: 10.0.0.102]".
We also have this error message every 2 minutes: "Login failed for user
'sa'. [CLIENT: 10.0.0.12]" since 8 days ago when we installed a new domain
server.
We have a separate server for SQLserver. It was restarted after installing
the new domain server.
I also tried dropping and recreating the user account giving trouble on
SQLserver. It didn't work.
I have also noticed when creating a new user that SQLServer2005 doesn't look
up the user list from the domain server. (SQLserver2000 used to I think). I
have to type in a domain\user. Why is this?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, Shane.
