X12/EDI isn't too difficult. What substandard are you doing? VICS, BISAC,
something else? I haven't done EDI in a few years, but last I heard they
were working on an EDI XML standard. If you're considering converting
X12/EDI files to XML, you might consider looking into the standard.

I was asking over in the DTS forum, but this would seem to be the more
appropriate group - anybody here doing X12/EDI? Seems like I'm about
to! Seems a natural match to XML.

Say you're doing X12/EDI and (of course!) want to parse the data out
into relational database OLTP tables so you can run some applications
against it. It seems XML is a good intermediate form, but there are a
number of ways in which to architect the transfer,

X12/EDI -> XML -> relational.

Any advice, war stories?

Thanks.
