Re: SQL Server 2005 XQuery support

Hello Rupert,

Well, let's see:

a.) No support for LET b.) No supoport to schema elements that would introduce dynamic behaviors in queries
c.) Functions that should produce scalar results instead of sequences are sometimes treated as sequences
d.) Most XPath2 functions introduced into XQuery aren't supported
e.) No user defined functions
f.) Facet patterns on numeric data types can produce their own issues

and I'm sure there's others. How major or minor these are seem to vary from person to person (e.g, A and B don't bother me, D and E do).

And, btw, that's old info. The last "drop anchor" was June 2004.
