So when you click on [Management] in the Server Explorer pane, [Maintenance
Plan] is NOT listed in the right pane?

I don't have a maintenance plan window - that's the problem! Sorry if I
didn't communicate that clearly.

You have to create the maintenance plans. There are NO maintenance plans
until you create some.
Right click in the Maintenance Plan window, and select [Maintenance Plan
Wizard]. It will 'walk' you through the process.
For more information about Maintenance Plans, see "Maintenance Plans" and
"Maintenance Plan Wizard" in Books on Line.

SQL 2005 workstation components, configuration tools, analysis
services,
performance tools & management studio installed. Can't find
maintenance
plans. Have installed full integration services. What specifically
needs
to
be installed in 2005 to get to maintenance plans?
.
