Re: Trying to get Mgmt Studio to work as expected

When I launch SQL Server 2005's Management Studio from the command line,

I have to AGAIN establish a connection separately - very annoying and
irritating.

Any way to make this work automatically?? E.g. if I launch sqlwb.exe with
"-S (local) -E -d MyDatabase", I'd like to make sure Object Browser ALSO
connects to my local server and selects the "MyDatabase" as its active
database.

I would like that too! But I never found it irritating enough to
bitch about it during the beta prorgamme.

You can right-click in the query window and select "Open in Object Browser".

Also, is there any way (documented in the UI or undocumented by means of a
registry hack) to turn OFF these pesky "do you want to save this query?"
messages that tend to pop up all over the place??? QueryAnalyzer had an
option to do so.....

Now, this is one I have bitched severly about! Without reward.

I have a suggestion on

that you can vote for.
