Hi,
I have Ms SQL Server 2000 is installed on windows server 2003 .
but i see when I make a maintenance plan in sql server 2000 for database
backup ( complete backup) the backup will only create same machine not out
of this machine on the another computer of domain.
I make folder on another machine in the domain and share that folder .
and after that i have make A: Drive ( with the help of Map Network Drive) in
sql server machine which map with the share folder which i had made on
another machine .
now i want that A: drive must show in the Database Maintenace Plan wizard
in the complete backup TAB when I click Disk option and click on browse it
must show the Map Network Drive which is A:
thats why backup will create in A: Drive and A is map with share folder
which is on another computer . and data will backup in two machine.
but it is not occuring .
when i Enter A: Drive it will display dialog box with the message " this is
not a valid drive "
Pls reply me soon
Regards
Basim Alvi
.
