Re: 2008 Express Database Engine Services Failed

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

When the SQL Server 2008 Setup runs, it checks system requirements. Details are closed by default. Is there any possibility that your system does not meet the minimum requirements for a SQL Server 2008 installation? Or maybe you are trying to install a x64 version of SQL Server 2008 on a x86 system?

Because, from the following error messages it seems that it mostly complains about the CPU related stuff. Just a guess.

I had to re-run the install and got the problem again - of course. The log
file it creates is huge. Below are a few tidbits I was able to pull out, but
they don't tell me much:

pass as it returned false and true was expected.
