Manually Uninstallation of SQL Server 2005 Dev. Ed.

Hallo,
I've tried to uninstall SQL Server 2005 Developer Edition from my System
(Windows XP Prof. SP3).
The following reinstall failed, because some components of a higher version
(SP 2 of SQL Server) aren't deinstalled. Now the installer tells me, that I
first have to uninstall these components (e.g. reporting services,
workstation tools), before I can install SQL Server 2005. But the big
problem is, that I can't uninstall these components, because the
(un)installer raises errors like: can't find XY).
How can I manually uninstall the complete SQL Server, so that I'm able to
make a clean reinstall?
PS: The article http://support.microsoft.com/kb/909967 doesn't succeed.
Regards
Stephan
