SQL 2005 install fails with lsass.exe error and reboots

Tech-Archive recommends: Speed Up your PC by fixing your registry

I am trying to install SQL Server 2005 in a VMWare instance. Right after the
step where it asks me whether I want to send reports to Microsoft I click
Next and it pops up a box that says the system encountered a problem with
Lasass.exe and will reboot in 60 seconds. A few Windows Installer messages
pop up also, Then Reboots. It does this every time. Is there a conflict with
another service that is causing this? Has anyone run into this error?
