Hi Tim,

What's the error message you get? You better investigate the problem from SQL Error Logs if it's only about SQL Server connection. Can you reach to the Windows Server for example? Or is your problem only with SQL Server remote connection?

If your SQL Server Instance is a Named Instance then ensure the Browser Service is running. Or if it's a static port then ensure you are using the right port # to connect.

I do it all the time on a LAN of course, but this is my first time trying to do it from a remote dedicated server like this.
