Processor Licensing is about the physical CPU itself. How many CPU do you have installed on your SQL Server server?
If there is only one Physical CPU (it does not matter if it's a dual core or quad-core) then it's enough buying only one Processor License for your SQL Server. It does not matter how many databases do you have installed on that Processor Licensed SQL Server server and how many clients connect to it.
Also, you don't need to install the License. There is no such thing. You just buy the License, that's it.

Hi Ekrem,
Thank you for your advice, but I am still a little confused after read the
license article. Does a processor mean a physical server? If I buy one
processor license and install it on server A, can both of my two applications
which are installed on server A use it as database no matter how many users
access those two applications?
Thanks again for your help.

Hello Lisa,
There are several methods licensing your SQL Servers.
There are three options generally.
1- Buying a Processor License then your clients would not need an extra
license. Processor License is only for one processor socket on your SQL
Server server.
2- Buying a SQL Server License + CALs (for your each client device)
3- Buying a SQL Server License + CALs (for your each client user)
I don't know about your SQL Server server but you may consider Processor
Licensing. You can find more information about licensing of SQL Server from
