SQL2005 Development Edition in Vista Ulitmate

Hi
I have beenlooking at installing the above product in Vista for the first time. I am warned of known compatibility issues, which I find amazing after all this time.
I found a knowledte base article which said SQL2005 it would run with Service Pack 2 on Vista equipped with SP1 Beta, if not in production mode.
I am not one of the priviledged testers of Vista SP Beta 1. Can some one advise my what I have to do to get SQL to run. Or do I wait till the next year for the release of SP1.

I know the usual question would be to check if I installed some new drivers or any hardware device but thats not the case as far as I know. ... The first time it crashed today was with a blue screen with the usual bsod stuff printed on it. ... Some internal diagnostic software that maybe ships with vista? ...
