Re: How do I remove my development server log from my client site during login?

What do you mean when logging in? How are you logging in and what tool are you using? The mdf & ldf files know nothing of the server they may have been attached to. There is no information stored in them at the server level. I suspect you are using SSMS on your laptop and when you open it the last server you were connected to is chosen in the dropdown. But if you try to connect to it you will find it fails unless you have access to it from your client.

Hi all. I have devleoped a MSSQL 2005 database for my client. I detached and copied the mdf and ldf files a CD then attached to my clients MSSQL. However when logging in it shows a list of servers and my server is on the list. How do I remove /edit this ? This happends after we have connected to MSSQL and are now attempting to connect to the database it seems. Clear as mud? It has to be something in the mdf or ldf files because it is the name of my server at my office and nothing at my client matches.
