Hello!
It's relatively easier to setup active\passive because in this situation, you will run SQL Server setup only once.
First, you should setup MSCS and add your nodes from Cluster Administrator to your Cluster. Before setting up Cluster services, be sure you have set up your shared disk(s)
After installing MSCS and adding your nodes to the Cluster, then you have left one thing to do which is really important. Test, test and test your cluster services.
If you are going to use Failover and Failback, test them, move services to other node. Initiate manual failures and so on. After being sure it works perfect then go to the next step which is installing SQL Server.
Move all services to first Node and then start SQL Server setup. When you get to the Components to Install window, do not forget to check Cluster checkbox (I don't remember the exact label of that check box which is just below Database Engine checkbox in the mentioned window) If you are going to be installing Analysis Services then check it's related cluster checkbox as well. After setting these stuff, you will pass to the Installing phase and you must be seeing a combobox in the right upper corner of the window. You will see the names of your nodes in that checkbox.
SQL Server setup will be installing necessary files in both of your nodes (or more...) While setting up, you will be selecting your Shared Disk(s) so, database files are going to be stored on these disks. As SQL Server setup will be installing necessary SQL Server files on both nodes and database files are going to be located on the shared disks, you will be able to continue using your SQL Server in case of a failure. Failing over to another node takes approximately 15 seconds. Failing over means to stoping services on a node and starting those same services on the other node.
Be sure your MSCS and SQL Services and other cluster services run correctly on both nodes before using them in a production environment.
Do not forget and neglect, it's essential to test, test and test failing over and back. You must compeletely be sure that all services run on all nodes without any error nor fail.
If you need any furher help or info, I'll be here untill next Wednesday. After that, I'll be on a vacation for 4 days :) And then will be back.

thanx for replying about Virtual Server Installation, I think I'll have to do
an experiment on testbed by running the "Virtual Server" setup on "local
computer" installation.
Can you plz tell me about links or material about Active/Passive Clustering
as I have some material for Active/Active but I did not find about
active/passive. moreover, I am little confused about active/passive mode as I
have not studied it, that how would one installation of SQL server on one
node will will be transfered to other node on which no SQL server is
installed which is the part of cluster as a second node in active/passive
mode. kindly explain me about active/passive mode.
Regards
