I have just spent days installing all the updates on Vista Ultimate 64,
Office 2007, and Visual Studio 2005.
All updates worked ok, until Visual Studio 2005. It has an SQL 2005
developers disk.
I installed this disk, and it all seemed ok, and I also installed several
updates - including SP2.
There remains one update however that just fails to download -
"Critical Update for SQL Server 2005 Service Pack 2"
Its gets to about 1% download, and then reports a failure - is there some
kind of problem with the server this update is on ?
(every other Internet update and other work is ok on this computer)
Also - what do they call "enterprise manager" in the developers version ?
- I cant see where it has been installed, and I am not sure how I am
supposed to create tables etc.
Re: vstudio Express questions ... XP Pro SP3....download the previous 2005 versions, but the fine print says that they are compatible only with XP SP2, not SP3. ... I have a machine here with Visual Studio .NET 2003, Visual Studio 2005 and Visual Studio 2008 installed. ...
