Was able to move master after reading this article
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms345408.aspx and making sure
to install SQL 2005 SP1. If you don't install SP1 you won't see the
properties option for the SQL server service in configuration manager.

Hi all,
I am doing a new installation of sql 2005 enterprise edition on a 64
bit server. Wherever I set the default path of the database to be, sql
adds MSSQL.1/MSSQL/Data. I would like to have the location that I
enter to be the one that it uses (and not one that it creates below).
This is important since I am migrating database files from another sql
2005 enterprise instance on another server and need master, msdb,
tempdb, distribution, and model to be in the particular file path that
I need.
Thanks in advance!
