Hello!
1.)
I try to install "SQL 2000 develop. 64 bit" to install on "W2K3 R2 Std.
X64". The system tell me this is not the right SQL version for this
operating system. Which SQL 2000 Server can be installed on "W2K3 Std. X64"?
2.)
When I have to change a SQL-Installation from one hardware to a new one, and
the new SQL-installation has exactly the same path-names for sql-system and
databases, can i shut down sql-service and copy the "mdf" and "ldf" files
to the new hw and start the sql-service on the new hw? I know that this
seems to work, but I am afraid to get another problem in future.
The reason is: In the old hardware are many databases and normally I make a
database backup with enterprise manager to move from one hardware to another
hardware.
Thanks !
Regards O. Riedel
