Hi,
After making good progress, the setup fails in "Configuring Components" of
Sql Server Services phase during the "Configuring MS Sql Server" step.
The error is: The sql server service failed to start (The error is (1067)
The process terminated unexpectedly). Options are Retry and Cancel. The
first fails, the second causes the setup to Rollback all actions undoing all
its hard work; but closing the error dialog box causes to roll back only the
failed phase. SSAS, SSIS, Browser and SS Vss Writer have been installed and
running.
The Error Log file shows:
Error: 17311, Severity: 16, State: 1.
SQL Server is terminating because of fatal exception c000001d. This error
may be caused by an unhandled Win32 or C++ exception, or by an access
violation encountered during exception handling. Check the SQL error log for
any related stack dumps or messages. This exception forces SQL Server to
shutdown. To recover from this error, restart the server (unless SQLAgent is
configured to auto restart).
This was my second (or 3rd) attempt at installing sql server., Any ideas on
how to resolve this issue?
Thanks
.
