Just looking for confirmation that Itanium based is a 64 bit archetecture and not compatible with our dell 2650 poweredge server. Do we need to order a new media set for XEON 32 bit archetecture? Thanks

You need new media. Whether you need 32bit or 64bit depends on your OS. I'm not sure whether Microsoft ships 32bit and 64bit on the same media.
