Try going to [Control Panel], [Add or Remove Programs], Select SQL Server
2005, and then using the 'Maintenance Mode' correct the installation.
If it doesn't work out to be 'so easy' (and life is often that way), perhaps
these will help:

Remove -How to use the Add or Remove Programs item in Control Panel to add
or remove components for stand-alone installations and clustered
installations of SQL Server 2005 (KB: 922670)

I removed SQL2005 and then had to install the Client Tools only and re
apply
SP4. Then I was able to bring SQL 2000 snap in Enterprise Manager up. Well
something went wrong and they had me remove SQL2005 again. Now I can't
re-install the client tools. Error:
Setup has detected an existing client tools only installation. Please use
the maintenance mode to add client components.
Thanks for your help!!!!!!!!!
