Convert SQL Server 2005 Trial to Full Licenced edition

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

Hi

We have SQL Server 2005 trial software installed on our remote server
and we have now purchased a fully licenced copy of the Standard
edition.

As the server is remote we cannot get access to it easily to insert the
installation CD. Also we have a very slow upload speed here so we
cannot just upload the installation files to the remote server (when we
tried it said it would take several days to complete!)

Therefore we are reluctant to uninstall the trial version as it is
going to be difficult to install the licensed version.
Is it possible for us to just enter a the serial number and upgrade the
trial version to the licensed version? - this get round the full
uninstall/install.

Thanks in advance
Bazza
