Thanks Hari
Could you please let me know which folders I need to provide access to?

Hi,
Looks like you are using an OS account which do not have sufficient access
rights to start the SQL Server service. Change the service
startup account to system account and try starting the service...If it
starts good then give sufficient rights to the OS account for registry and
SQL Server folders...
Thanks
Hari

Hi
When I try to start the MSSQLSERVER service I get the following error:
Windows could not start the SQL Server (MSSQLSERVER) on L:ocal Computer.
For more information review the System Event Log. If this is a
non-Microsoft service, contact the service vendor, and refer to
service-specific error code 17113.
any ideas how to resolve this please?
Doug
