Not according to 64-bit windows. You should be able to use the /3GB
switch
in a 64-bit environment. SQL 2000 standard can use it and SQL 2005
standard
can use up to the Operating System's Max memory. Here is the link I got
my
info from:

SQL2000 Standard si limited to 2GB. You need to upgrade to SQL 2000
Enterprise or SQL2005 Standard to use above 2GB of RAM .

I already moved the max memory setting to 3072.

You have to also change the max memory setting in SQL Server
properties.

I recently put in the /3GB switch on our Windows 2003 Server R2
boot.ini
file. We are running SQL 2000 Standard. After the reboot our
physical
memory is not going over 2GB. Is there something else I missed?
Thanks.
