Re: Cannot install sql 2000 onto WIndows 2003 std

Sounds like our old friend SQL 2000 vs SQL 2000a. If the i386 folder on
your install CD is dated in the year 2000, you have SQL 2000. YOu need SQL
2000a to install on Windows 2003. The i386 folder will be dated in year
2003 on SQL 2000a releases. Contact Microsoft for a media upgrade. All
current downloads from Microsoft including MSDN and Volume Licensing
Fulfillment have been updated to SQL 2000a.
