Can't install SQL 2000 server

I have both the Enterprise and Developer's Edition of SQL Server 2000 from MSDN.

When I try to install the database server, I get this message:

"Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition server component is not supported on this operating system. Only client components will be available for installation."


I'm running XP Pro with SP2. (On an AMD 64 bit processor.)

Is there a way around this? I want to run the server locally.
