Let's take another step to ensure that the installation of MDAC has no
problem by using the Component Checker. See this article for more
information:

If there are not mismatched files, I'd like to run Regmon and Filemon while
registering sqldmo.dll. You can download Regmon and Filemon from
www.sysinternals.com and send the result trace file to me at
