IIS 6 and SQL 2003 sp4

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

We are using IIS 6 to connect to our SQL 2000 sp4 system and are having a
few minor problems, both are installed on the same machine. We only have 30
staff so the IIS system is hardly used, same for SQL. We only have two
databases in SQL, one called Employees and the other Postal Codes (a.k.a.
Zip codes). The Employee one is going to be used to create a contact list
web page, simple listing of records. The Postal Code database needs to be
searched to find a suburd (city) and respond with the postal code and
associated details, again via a web page.

My first question is, what is the best way to configure a database to be
accessed from IIS? What I mean is do I use a Windows account or SQL account
to access the database or a specific built-in account, this is for Internal
(Intranet) access only.

Being on the same box I probably need to create a System DSN link. What
elsse?

My other question is more oriented towards creating a search (submit) field
to get the details from SQL, on a web page. I'll ask this in the Frontpage
newsgroup, however, if someone here happens to have an answer I wouldn't
object to you helping me out in here.

Regards,

Dave
