Hello All,
I'm trying to install SQL Svr 2000 Dev. Ed. and VS. NET 2003 w/ WinXP with
SP-2. I will install as local computer with default instance name, but need
access to Enterprise Manager (MMC snap-in) for networked dBases. I have
searched MSDN and other newsgroups to find out how to correctly install, but
have several questions below:
(Note: I have included questions regarding VS.NET here also to avoid double
posting this thread.)
1. Which product do I install first - Server or .NET?
2. Do I need to install MSDE (listed as optional on MSDN)?
3. Will I have problems with SQL Svr with WinXP SP-2 installed as far as
accessing and changing networked dBases for data/design elements in
Enterprise Manager?
4. How do I find out if my computer is 32 or 64 - bit?
5. MSDN states that the order of install for VS.NET is first before Office
Prof. 2003 - if Office Prof. and .NET Framework 1.1 was installed first, does
this affect VS.NET installation for WinXP?
I appreciate any answers to any or all of my questions!
.
