VLDB and Transaction Log
Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance
SQL Server 2000 EE Service Pack 4
Windows 2003 EE
Disk is EMC SAN
We have large databases in the range of 40-80 GB. The transaction logs are
around 12 GB each.
In theory is it better to have one file for the transaction log on a single
spindle or multiple smaller files each on their own spindle.
The documentation I have read in the past pointed to a single file, but not
sure if it applies as larger databases come into play.
