RE: SQL Server Service Account



Hello John,

You do not need to use a Domain admin, but you'd be best served by using a
domain user that is a member of the local administrators group on the SQL
Server. For more information about exactly what permissions are granted to
the service accounts in SQL Server, please refer to the article in Books
Online titled: "Setting up Windows Services Accounts"
