Hi,
If you right click on a table in a database in Enterprise Manager you have
an option to query the database. If you select this you get a Access like
UI which helps you build SQL queries.
This stopped working on my machine for some unknown reason, and started
throwing an error. Re installing SQL did not resolve this issue. Only when
the machine was re imaged did it resolve the problem.
Error Messsage was:
Title: "SQL Sever Enterprise Manager"
Msg: "Provider Cannot be found. It may not be properly installed"
We also have this problem with another machine so would like to known what
might be causing us to loose this functionality and why a reinstall doesn't
work? We do have some third party addins installed on these machines like
palsiade @risk and crystal ball - is it possible for third party addins to
affect SQL like this?
