I have a test box running windows 2003. It's a dell 1600SC PowerEdge. It
contains a PERC3 SCSI card and two HDD's in a RAID 1 configuration. The OS
has been running fine for several weeks with several reboots. I have just
installed SQL 2005 beta 2 on that same box without error. I checked the
services on SQL 2005 service was successfully started. The problem is after
the SQL 2005 install is completed the first reboot after the install gives a
"No Hard Drive found" error during the POST.
I have reformatted and started from scratch, and I am able to reproduce the
error each time. Can anyone tell why this is happening? Can anyone suggest a
course of action to work around this issue other then using another piece of
hardware?
