MDAC installation (which have the ODBC drivers) can be
impacted by many things - installs and uninstalls, service
packs, etc. The drivers could have gotten out of sync or the
MDAC configuration is messed up. You can check your MDAC
installation with component check. You can install the
latest MDAC version. You can find MDAC versions and the
component checker at:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/data/mdac/default.aspx
